Do you agree that this world is divided into more than one element? It can be haves or haves not, richness or poverty, socialist or capitalist Or Men or Women. Yes, there is a huge disparity between Men and women since the creation of humankind. These days the debate is not the discrimination rather it intends to be the level of discrimination based in the society, culture or community.

Why do women want to be equal as men? The answer is simple because they are not treated equally as men. Rather they are discriminated on the grounds of their sex; they are deprived of opportunities despite being as deserving as men. They are turned into a sex substance and adornment objects of the socio-cultural society led and managed by Men. Their freedoms are in the hand of the male members of their own family. Women only tend to be a producer, a builder but their manager and leaders are only Men….

Women are always considered as a weaker sex or gender, still in many countries like Nepal, they are treated as the second class citizens where we discuss about women’s rights in terms of reproductive health or education. In countries like US or Britain, the discussion is more about the equality in work or decision making. Though, women’s participation in politics is much apparent in South Asia than in US.

The other fact is women were/are never born as a leader….they have always understood what men want and have satisfied themselves being a part of success of their men in life. And the very few who believed in women’s freedom and equality of opportunities in all spheres of life as a crucial priority became feminist but not women leaders.

Is man an enemy of a woman? Off course not. Men are not enemies nor are they from Mars. They are equal yet different as women are. Men are Men….as they are treated as superiors, created as the by product of patriarchal society (in most of the society) in this globe. They are society, government, leaders, father, husband and many more…and they are always Men. The problem is the socio-strata which have always influence Men to lead the world and women too. They always tend to be protective or authoritative towards women. For women, men have always been their competitors in this world. Or the freedom or rights enjoyed by men have been the destination for women which resulted into a mixture of jealousy, inferiority and avarice towards men as objects but not for the substance. These reasons are responsible for setting the milestone for women’s freedom and equality at the position of Men.

Men and women are two different elements who are similar to certain context yet vibrant when it comes to equality and rights. Women in this world must be happy as they have a common agenda all over which they can discuss over and over, form networks and alliances to empower women and bring equality, enjoy women’s rights and activate many affirmative actions to do so. However, they must come out from the orthodox parameter of making enemies to their competitors and understand that men are not enemies rather a product of a patriarchal society. And men should respect all the feminist of the world as women leaders and create harmony with women by stepping at the same and equal level. Because the world is not possible/progressive at all…. missing any one of you, women or men …….men or women…..
